The BJP was meted out with disappointment with tho horrendous loss in the recent Jharkhand election. Astonishingly, the party just gained 28 seats in the state, while it was triumph for JMM-Congress-RJD. Now, the big questions is what could be the reason for BJP’s failure in Jharkhand elections despite the NAMO fever.
If we look at the Jharkhand populace, it nearly consists of 90 percent of tribals. However, BJP had made non-tribal Raghubar Das as the chief minister. The party won 11 MP seats out of 15 in Jharkhand with almost 50 percent of vote share. This made the party go to elections without any allies. It is learnt that the state government was trying to emend the ‘Chotanagpur tenancy act’ and ‘Santhal Pargana Tenancy Act’, which only backfires against BJP.
