Senior character artiste and film producer Chittibabu has alleged that actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu accepted the offer to play item number in Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ because of financial stress that she had been facing soon after getting divorced from Naga Chaitanya.
He said Sam had to accept the offer because her stature as a heroine in Tollywood has been diminishing after her separation from Chay. Chittibabu alleged that Samantha had played the same victim before the audience to score a hit when her movie ‘Yashoda’ was to be released in theatres.
Samantha asking the film unit to complete the shoot of ‘Shaakuntalam’ before her death — is nothing but just seeking sympathy, Chittibabu said. He added that playing a sentiment card every time before a movie’s release doesn’t work for Samantha.
Although the character artiste shared his personal opinion, and a sort of analysis, netizens are connecting the dots with the way Sam has been playing her part before ‘Shaakuntalam’ was released.
