Prabhas is known around the world for his rockstar films ‘Saaho’ and ‘Baahubali’. He couldn’t shrug off the image that put him on the international stage. Then he tried it differently with ‘Radhe Shyam’ as a boy-next-door character with a romantic tale. This turned out to be a disaster.
Now his fans have been eagerly expecting ‘Salaar’ to be loaded. The ‘Spirit’ will have Prabhas in the same shades. Amidst all these projects, it is learnt that Prabhas has started shooting for his upcoming film with director Maruthi. This is going to be a light-hearted comedy flick. Even cameraman Karthik Palani who is the principal cinematographer said in an interview that the film is going to be a fun ride with a good dose of comedy.
Now the topic is whether Prabhas risking himself by doing a light-hearted film. Of course, fans would love to see him back with the roles like ‘Bujjigadu’, ‘Darling’ and ‘Mr.Perfect’. But the other section of fans feel that Prabhas should stop doing romantic entertainers and focus more on action films.
Maruthi had delivered a flop with his last outing ‘Pakka Commercial’. He never did a movie with a big star. And, directing Prabhas will not be a cakewalk. How does he take it forward? – is an unanswered question for Prabhas fans.
