Any Tollywood observer can say that senior star Nagarjuna is playing a mute spectator when it comes to extending support to his son Akhil Akkineni.
The reason behind this could be attributed to the failed attempts of Nagarjuna to launch Akhil in a big way in the past. Akhil couldn’t gain a successful hold as a top hero because of the flops. King Nag once had a dream to launch his son as a star. But the efforts failed miserably. Post the debacle of Akhil’s debut, Nagarjuna was cautious with the next movie ‘Hello’. But it also failed. Akhil’s last outing ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ had somewhat given him relief.
Meanwhile, the talk in the industry goes that producer Anil Sunkara wouldn’t have spent this big budget for ‘Agent’ without the involvement of Nagarjuna. But Nag has been very silent all the while. He hasn’t come for the pre-release event for his son’s film. It gives an impression as if Nag is playing touch-me-not with Akhil.
