Indian-American IBM scientist wins ‘Inventor of the Year’ award

Rajiv V. Joshi, an Indian-American scientist has won the prestigious New York Intellectual Property Law Associations Inventor of the Year Award. He was awarded for his advanced work in electronic industry and improving Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities. An almnus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, Joshi works as a research staff member at IBM”s Thomas J. Watson Research Center. He holds holds 235 US patents.

Rajiv Joshi

Joshi moved to the US in 1977 to pursue a master’s degree at MIT and a doctoral degree at Columbia University. As per his  biography, his novel interconnects processes and structures for aluminium, tungsten, and copper technologies are widely used in IBM for various technologies.
