Like the case of many individuals, life changed for Tej Bommadevara only after Covid-induced lockdown.
Having graduated in Business Administration, Tej had plans to study masters in the USA. “During that time, my father Bommadevara Ramachandra Rao prepared something big for my career that I’ve not imagined in my wildest dreams. So when he came with a script. I too traveled with him. We went to many people and narrated our story. But nothing worked. Finally, my father took the risk of making me a protagonist. Nothing happened overnight, I got initial training in acting. It took me time to learn the ropes,” says debutante Tej.
Starring Tej and Rishiki Lokre in the lead roles, ‘Madhave Madhusudana’ is getting released on November 24. The film is directed and produced by Tej’s father Ramachandra Rao who once served as a makeup artist to top stars in Telugu cinema.
Produced and directed by Bommadevara Ramachandra Rao under the banner of Sai Ratna Creations, the movie is presented by Bommadevara Sridevi.
Tej says he admire Superstar Mahesh Babu very much. “I grew up watching him, he is an icon to many actors like me, I like his intense acting. We have immense respect for Nagarjuna garu because of him we’re at this stage. During the film’s launch, Nagarjuna garu told me that my father had worked really hard to reach this position. He also told me that I should work hard to achieve new heights in my career,” Tej recalled.
Tej hastened to add that his film is a new genre in Telugu. The climax touches everyone. It is a first-of-its-kind climax. The movie has love, thrill, and comedy, all elements incorporated in it, he says.
Sharing his experience of facing the camera for the first time, Tej reveals, “The cameraman is also our relative. His suggestions helped me a lot in getting myself better before the camera. I prepared a lot for the pre-climax shoot. I got a lot of confidence after doing that scene,” he says. Tej, who dubbed his own voice, said that he came to know the hardships of an actor only after stepping into the shoes of an actor.
