Reports suggest that Dulquer is being considered for a significant role in the movie, although nothing has been finalized yet. The makers are in talks with him, hoping to bring him onboard. If Dulquer agrees to join the project, it would mark his second venture into Telugu cinema after the successful film Sita Ramam.
In a related development, Ravi Teja’s film “Eagle,” released in February, prompted People’s Media Factory to assign another film to director Karthik Ghattamane even during its production. Tentatively titled Mirai, the film features Teja Sajja and possibly Dulquer Salmaan as the lead actors, with Manchu Manoj in a pivotal role. However, changes in the script have been considered, with a focus on incorporating more emotional depth alongside action sequences.
Teja Sajja, in particular, is keen on exploring diverse roles and avoiding typical commercial formulas. The mixed response of Eagle raised awareness about the importance of emotional engagement in films, leading to adjustments in the script of “Mirai” to ensure a balanced narrative.
Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan continues to expand his repertoire with diverse projects. He recently appeared in the Malayalam film “King of Kotha (KOK)” and is gearing up for “KH 234” alongside Nazriya Nazim and Vijay Verma. Additionally, he has committed to “Lucky Bhaskar,” a Telugu film directed by Venky Atluri, and is involved in the production of the Tamil movie “Kaa,” featuring actor Rana Daggubati.
As for the filming schedule, Mirai is expected to resume production in April or May, allowing Dulquer to fulfill his commitments to both this project and “Balakrishna 109.” The industry is keeping a close eye on these developments, anticipating a refreshing approach to storytelling from the talented ensemble of actors and filmmakers involved.
