Iconic painter Raja Ravi Varma is known for his resplendent and showing women in new dimension in his paintings. Meanwhile, 12 women consisting of actors and dancers recreated Ravi Varma’s iconic paintings celebrating “the spirit of Indian womanhood” for a charitable trust – NAAM. The trust founded by actor-director Suhasini Maniratnam and pictures taken by G Venket Ram will go into NAAM calender. The actors featuring are Khushbu, Shruti Haasan, Ramya Krishnan, Aishwarya Rajesh, Samantha Akkineni, Nadhiya, Lissy and dancers Priyadarshini Govind and Chamundeshwari.

Lakshmi Manchu – Portrait of Rani Chimnabai 1 after whom Lakshmi Vilas palace in Tanjore is named
Chamundeswari – Portrait of Maharani Lakshmi Bayi who became the senior rani of Travancore
