Hyderabadi girl Dimple Hayathi has done a handful of films. However, she shot to fame with song Jarra Jarra in Harish Shankar’s directorial Gaddalakonda Ganesh. Not many know that she was approached for Chiranjeevi starrer Acharya. But surprisingly, Dimple had turned down the offer.
The budding-actress was approached for a dance number in Acharya alongside Chiranjeevi. Although she was offered huge sum, Dimple felt that despite sharing screen-space next to Chiranjeevi, it wouldn’t prove right to do another dance number so early in her career. Subsequently, Acharya team started scouting for another popular face. From Raai Laxmi to Hamsa Nandini, a few names were considered before Regina Cassandra was finalised for the song.
In an interview, Regina had revealed her experience working with Megastar. She said, “He doesn’t have any airs of a superstar. Throughout the song, what I observed, was he never goes back into the caravan after the scene but keeps talking to other guests and directors on the sets who come to meet him. His humility and simplicity is what makes him a superstar.”
She further added that watching the ease and the grace in Chiranjeevi’s dance movements was very inspiring. “I remember, on the first day of the shoot, we shot for expressions. His expressions complemented his gracious moves. He said I am expressive too, and I was floored with the compliment coming from someone like him”.
Well, someone’s loss is someone else’s gain.
