For quite some time, the news was rife that Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn would be part of Kamal Haasan starrer Indian 2. However, the dreams of many came crashing down after Ajay rejected Shankar’s Indian 2. While many theories came out, for instance like Ajay refused the off as he was supposed to play a baddie among others the actor has now shut down the rumours giving out the reason for rejecting it.
Devgn said that he couldn’t accommodate dates for Indian 2 as his dates are already fixed for Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior and it would be difficult to manage. “For an artiste, there are no shades of grey, black or white – the more layers you have in a role, the better it is. I loved doing movies like Khakee (2004) and Company (2002) where my negative characters were appreciated. I would love to play such roles again. I cannot say if it was grey or not because I am not doing it now; it’s somebody else’s role,” said Ajay.
