Recently, a significant meeting took place between Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and key figures from the Telugu film industry. The meeting aimed to discuss important issues concerning the Telangana government and its support for the state’s film industry. Here are the key announcements made by CM Revanth Reddy during this meeting.
In his address, CM Revanth Reddy emphasized the government’s ongoing support for the film industry. He mentioned that the Telangana government had already provided special permissions for eight films and had offered a police ground for the movie Pushpa 2. He added, “We want the Telugu film industry to become a brand, and we are working towards it.”
The Chief Minister also discussed the government’s role in addressing issues in the film industry. “We understand the problems faced by the film industry. We have been in constant communication with industry leaders like Dil Raju, who is the Chairman of the Film Development Corporation (FDC),” he stated. This collaboration aims to find solutions to industry challenges.

One of the significant steps taken by the Telangana government is the introduction of awards for the film industry. Recognizing the absence of awards in the state, the government established the Gaddar Awards to honor exceptional contributions to the film industry. CM Revanth Reddy mentioned, “The government is always ready to support the film industry, but industry professionals must also adhere to certain guidelines.”
Further, the CM outlined the establishment of a committee to address the issues of the film industry. He also highlighted the potential for film shoots in Telangana, stating that Hyderabad’s central location makes it easy to access various locations within two hours for filming.
In addition to supporting the film industry, CM Revanth Reddy also spoke about promoting tourism in Telangana. He encouraged everyone to promote eco-tourism and temple tourism in the state. “Hyderabad is one of the best cosmopolitan cities, and we must take steps to attract Hollywood and Bollywood filmmakers to the city,” he said.
The government is also focused on boosting skills and employment opportunities for the youth. The CM announced the establishment of a Young India Skills University to provide advanced training and employment prospects. “We are also planning to establish a Sports University to train athletes and bring India more medals in international competitions,” he said.
Lastly, CM Revanth Reddy stressed the importance of using films to address social issues such as drug abuse and social inequalities. He mentioned, “The Congress government has always supported the film industry, and we will continue this legacy.”
