Apple Glowtime Event 2024 Highlights
Apple’s Glowtime Event 2024 brought forward a variety of new products, including the much-anticipated iPhone 16 series, AirPods 4, and new Apple Watch models. The event highlighted Apple’s latest technological advancements, pushing the boundaries of design and functionality.
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus
The iPhone 16 series was one of the major announcements at the event. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, priced at ₹79,900 and ₹89,900 respectively in India, feature up to 512GB of storage and come in several color options, such as black, white, pink, teal, and ultramarine. Pre-orders for these models will start on September 13, with the official release on September 20.
The iPhone 16 sports a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, protected by Ceramic Shield, and supports up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. It also comes with Apple’s Dynamic Island feature. The Plus model offers a larger 6.7-inch display. Both phones run on the A18 chipset powered by iOS 18. Photography enthusiasts will enjoy a 48MP wide-angle lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP TrueDepth front camera for superior selfies. In terms of connectivity, they support 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and have transitioned to USB Type-C ports.
iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max
The premium iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models were also unveiled, starting at ₹1,19,900 and ₹1,44,900 respectively. Both phones are powered by the new A18 Pro chip and feature Super Retina XDR OLED displays with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The iPhone 16 Pro features a 6.3-inch display, while the Pro Max boasts a larger 6.9-inch screen.
These Pro models are equipped with a high-end camera system featuring a 48MP wide lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens with up to 5x optical zoom. New features like the Action and Capture buttons offer users enhanced camera control.

AirPods 4
Apple’s latest AirPods 4 come in two versions—one with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and one without. Priced at $129 (approximately ₹11,000) for the non-ANC version and $179 (approximately ₹15,000) for the ANC version, these new AirPods will be available starting September 20. They boast improved sound quality, gesture controls, and wireless charging capabilities.
Apple Watch Series 10 and Watch Ultra 2
Rounding out the event, Apple introduced the Apple Watch Series 10 and Watch Ultra 2. The Series 10 is priced at $399 (approximately ₹33,000) and includes a bright OLED display and rounded corners. One of its notable features is the ability to detect sleep apnea. The Watch Ultra 2, aimed at fitness enthusiasts, is priced at $799 (approximately ₹67,000) and comes in a sleek Black Titanium finish. Both watches will be available for purchase from September 20.
