In light of this, Bollywood media consulting firm Ormax Media recently unveiled a list of the top theatrical films available for streaming on OTT.
Ormax has categorized and analyzed recent Hindi releases, singling out the top three movies that achieved success at the box office and are now accessible on OTT platforms. Based on the buzz, Ormax has designated “OMG 2,” “Gadar 2,” and “Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani” as the top three theatrical films for the current week on OTT.
Starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role, “OMG 2” is a spiritual sequel to “OMG: Oh My God,” released in 2012. Billed as a comedy-drama, the film delves into the sensitive topic of sex education in India. Directed by Amit Rai, with pivotal roles played by Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam, the movie hit theaters on August 11, 2023. Made with a budget of 50 crores, it became a blockbuster, grossing over 200 crores at the box office. The movie is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
“Gadar 2,” a period action drama directed by Anil Sharma, features Sunny Deol, Amisha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Gaurav Chopra, and more. It recently premiered in theaters on August 11, 2023. With a budget of 60 crores, the film achieved tremendous success, grossing over 650 crores worldwide. It is now streaming on ZEE5.
After a considerable hiatus, Karan Johar directed “Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani.” This romantic comedy includes Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in key roles, with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.
