Has the Game Changer teaser boosted Shankar’s image or hurt it?
Director Shankar, who faced criticism and trolling after the release of Bharateeyudu 2, is slowly regaining his momentum with his upcoming project Game Changer. Although there was a mixed response to the teaser released recently, many fans believe that “Vintage Shankar” is making a comeback. The teaser showcased impressive visuals, grandeur and meticulous attention to detail, especially in portraying Ram Charan in three different shades, which connected well with the audience.
Shankar is known for his larger-than-life films, and if a producer invests heavily in his projects, it’s expected to be a blockbuster. But recent films bagged negitive mark on Shankar as most of them disaster. So director is trying hard to prove himself with Game Changer. As per reports, the director is closely overseeing the editing process and is making sure everything meets the high standards he’s known for. Music director Thaman is expected to start the re-recording work once the copy is given to him in December. Shankar is giving Thaman the time needed to create the best background score, as rushing the process could affect the quality.

The upcoming political thriller, which does not rely on fantasy elements or heavy VFX, has the potential to appeal to a wider audience. The producers are also planning a big Tamil release, but the competition, particularly with Ajith’s film releasing during Sankranthi, could pose challenges. Despite the hurdles, Shankar remains confident that his film will clear all doubts once the trailer is released, proving that he has not lost his touch.
