Director Harsha known as Harsha Master from the Kannada Film industry had choreographed for around 850 songs so far and is still going strong. He has also directed eight films and has been around in the Kannada field for 21 years. In a chat with Klapboardpost.com, director Harsha states that Bajarangi 2 is not a sequel, it is an independent movie, it is a fantasy and has the same lead Shiva Rajkumar as in Bajarangi 1. “Bajarangi 2 is my 9th film. Bajarangi 1 was a blockbuster and it was released in 2013. I retained the title as the genre and the hero are the same as in the first one. I actually had another title but changed it as my producer, director and team preferred a different one. I did Anjani Putra with Puneet Rajkumar, a film with Sharan and with Nikhil Kumaraswamy. After I wrapped up my last film, I got dates from Shiv Rajakumar and embarked on Bajrangi 2.”
Harsha Master choreographs for his films and this project is Shiv Rajkumar’s 122 nd film. He doesn’t reveal the plot but says it is a wholesome entertainer, no messages for the audience. He further says, “Our ancestors showcased a lot of things in Puranas and we can call it fantasy. There is a lot of room to create what you want in fantasy but I’m not taking any advantage. In this film, there are a lot of CG shots, huge sets….it is not a regular film, if you see the teaser.” Is the budget huge? “It is the confidence we have in the story and the hero. We began shooting last year in June and we still had ten days to go when the pandemic struck. It is a theatrical release as he is a big hero and has a huge fan following. People will be disappointed if it is released on an OTT platform.
Bhavana is the heroine. The characters in the film are some way or the other outstanding and different. The character’s name is called Bajarangi. This is my third combination with him. Yesterday Shiv Rajkumar announced another film with me, by this year’s end we shall go on floors.” Before signing off, he stresses people can’t stay away from entertainment for a long time, and they will love to be back in the theatres again. There isn’t much enjoyment watching films on your laptops. The film will be dubbed in Telugu.”
