Hanuman, directed by Prashanth Varma and featuring Teja Sajja as the lead hero, has triumphed over all star-studded movies released during Sankranthi, emerging as the all-time biggest grosser with a worldwide box office collection of nearly 300Cr. This exceptional success solidifies its position as one of Tollywood’s highest-grossing films.
Despite the availability of other Sankranthi releases on OTT platforms, Hanuman is yet to make its debut in the digital streaming space. The film, produced by Prime Show Entertainments, has already secured OTT and satellite rights from Zee 5 Cinema for a substantial sum of around 30 crores.
Originally scheduled for a swift streaming release within four weeks of its theatrical debut, the makers and the OTT platform, considering the sensational response to Hanuman, decided to delay the streaming date to 8 weeks. Now the exciting news is that, all language versions of the film are set to be available on Zee5 starting March 8th.
With its monumental success, the anticipation for Hanuman’s OTT release is palpable among audiences. Additionally, there’s exciting news for fans as the team plans to unveil a 3D version of the movie in theaters during the summer.
This delay in streaming, strategic for the film’s exceptional performance, aims to make the OTT release even more monumental. As a sequel is in the works, the creators aspire to expand Hanuman’s reach, especially in different languages, post its digital release. Fans can also look forward to an immersive 3D experience when the movie hits theaters this summer.
