Sankranthi, a significant occasion for Telugu cinema each year, marks the release of numerous anticipated movies. Even in the coming festive season, from January 12 to January 15 of 2024, several big Telugu films are scheduled for release, promising entertainment and excitement for movie buffs.
Hanu Man:
One of the films slated for release on January 12, 2024, is Prashanth Varma’s ‘Hanu Man,’ a superhero flick featuring Teja Sajja. Despite being smaller in budget and star power compared to others, its decision to release during Sankranthi adds curiosity about its performance at the box office.
Guntur Kaaram:
Another significant release on January 12 is ‘Guntur Kaaram,’ starring Mahesh Babu and directed by Triviram Srinivas. This family drama is generating substantial buzz, making it a tough competitor for other Sankranthi releases. Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary play pivotal roles in this film.
Saindhav and Eagle:
Moving to January 13, Venkatesh’s action-packed ‘Saindhav,’ directed by Sailesh Kolanu, showcases a unique avatar of the actor. Simultaneously, Ravi Teja’s ‘Eagle,’ directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, promises an adrenaline-pumping experience with Anupama Parameswaran as the female lead.
Naa Saami Ranga:
Set for release within January 12-15, Akkineni Nagarjuna’s ‘Naa Saami Ranga,’ directed by debutante Binni, presents a mass drama awaiting its release date confirmation.
Apart from these major releases, multiple low-budget films are also scheduled to hit screens during Sankranthi 2024. The crowded schedule is a result of the sudden announcement of ‘Salaar’s’ release on December 22, 2023. This abrupt change forced several films, including ‘Eagle,’ ‘Hi Nanna,’ and ‘Saindhav,’ to reposition themselves for a Sankranthi release.
As anticipation heightens and competition stiffens, it remains to be seen which films will hold firm on their release dates and emerge victorious in this festive movie extravaganza.
