This year’s Sankranthi brought a new level of excitement to Telugu cinema as four films hit the screens simultaneously. Although Ravi Teja’s Eagle withdrew from the race at the last moment, Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram and Teja Sajja’s HanuMan graced the theaters on January 12th, marking the festive celebration.
Guntur Kaaram became the ideal festive delight, meeting the expectations of the Telugu audience for a festival film. Mahesh Babu’s film had a mix of commercial elements, including mass songs, two heroines, emotions, love, family entertainment, and high-voltage action, creating a complete package. Mahesh Babu’s intense action sequences, Sreeleela’s charm, and high-voltage dance performances added to the movie’s appeal, especially enhanced by the popular song “Kurchi Maddtapetti.”
The film stood as a perfect festival treat for all sections of the audience, featuring Trivikram’s signature dialogues, Meenakshi’s cameo appearance, and Ramya Krishna’s strong character, contributing to its overall impact.
Despite recent blockbusters like Animal and Salaar, which primarily targeted action enthusiasts, Guntur Kaaram stands out as a superior commercial film with broader appeal to all movie enthusiasts. It skillfully combines essential commercial elements, making it a noteworthy addition to this year’s Sankranthi releases.
