Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Mahesh Babu latest film Guntur Kaaram has high the cinema halls on January 12, 2024. This action-packed family drama features Sreeleela in the lead role.
Excitingly, Netflix has secured the OTT rights for “Guntur Kaaram,” and the platform officially announced the release date today. As per the post shared by Netflix in social media, the film is set to premiere on February 9, 2024, not only in Telugu but also in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Alongside Mahesh Babu, the film showcases a talented cast, including Sreeleela, Ramya Krishnan, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, and Jagapathi Babu. Although the movie had a strong start at the box office, its initial buzz faded over time. According to industry tracker Sacnillik, the film achieved an overseas collection of Rs 31 crore in the first 21 days, with a domestic gross collection of Rs 146.67 crore.
Simultaneously, Mahesh Babu is gearing up for his next project, tentatively titled “SSMB 29,” in collaboration with director SS Rajamouli. Speculations are rife about the female lead, with names like Deepika Padukone and Chelsea Islan under consideration. The film, rumored to have a budget of Rs 1000 crore, has Rajamouli exploring casting possibilities in Mumbai.
