Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi is actively promoting his upcoming movie, MAD, which marks the Telugu film debut of Junior NTR’s brother-in-law, Narne Nithin. In a recent promotion interview, he expressed his confidence in the film, and compared the movie to Jathiratnalu, where logic and the plot take a back seat, and it’s all about enjoying the film without overthinking. Naga Vamsi assured that audiences can expect a similar experience with MAD, with premieres scheduled for the 4th in Andhra Pradesh and the 5th in Hyderabad.
Furthermore, Naga Vamsi addressed the controversies surrounding Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas’s Guntur Kaaram. When asked about reports that Mahesh Babu had refused to shoot for the film unless Pooja Hegde and Thaman were removed, he provided insights on the matter.
In response to the question, the producer expressed his surprise regarding the media’s strong interest in the Guntur Kaaram film. He clarified that they never considered including Thaman in the project. Regarding Pooja Hegde, he explained that the film’s shooting had slowed down as they thought of Sankranthi release, and as Pooja committed to a Bollywood project, dates are not adjusted she had to step away from the film.
He further added that he couldn’t understand why the media had such deep admiration for Guntur Kaaram and continued to publish articles about the movie. When asked if the film would still be released for Sankranthi, he expressed surprise, questioning why there was any doubt, especially given that Trivikram and Mahesh were working on the film at such a rapid pace.
When questioned about why the story of the film had seemingly shifted from an action genre to another, he stated that Guntur Kaaram still remained an action film itself. He said that everything audiences anticipate from a Trivikram film during the festive season will be there in Guntur Kaaram, reassuring fans that the film would deliver on their expectations for high-octane action and entertainment.
