Actor Gopichand was introduced to the Telugu film industry as a hero with the debut film ‘Tholi Valapu’ way back in 2001. Son of popular filmmaker T Krishna, Gopichand earned a legion of fans for his style and for his onscreen mannerisms.
‘Jayam’, ‘Nijam’ and ‘Varsham’ were some of the movies that made him a star of his own rather than a protagonist. Gopichand went on to receive reasonably good applause for films ‘Golimaar’, ‘Chanakya’, ‘Loukyam’ and ‘Sahasam’. But he has been struggling to get a break for the last few years.
Gopichand is pinning all his hopes on his next film ‘Ramabanam’. Starring Dimple Hayati as the female lead, the film has senior actress Kushboo, Jagapathi Babu, Nassar, Vennela Kishore, Sachin, Ali and Khedekar playing important roles.
Directed by Sriwass, this movie is going to release in theaters on May 5. Gopichand, who is currently taking part vigorously in film promotions. He is also not shying away from sharing some interesting facts about his personal life too.
Gopichand’s marriage has been fruitful with Reshma since 2013 and the couple has two children. But recently during promotions, when the topic came up.. He said his children still go to school by bus and they’re not raised as celebrity kids.
“I still send my children to school by bus. I don’t send them by car. Also, I don’t give them money as much as they ask for. As children, they need to understand practical life. They need to learn how to socialise with all sections of people,” said Gopichand.
