Google is going to launch smartwatches in the year 2017. It’s going to be new year gift for all the technology lovers. Google’s product manager of Android Wear Jeff Chang told The Verge that the company is going to launch two smart watches in the year 2017.
Chang announced that these Google smartwatches are going to be powered by Android Wear 2.0. It means that these smartwatches are going to be the first wearable devices to come with the Android Wear 2.0. He also revealed that these smartwatches will not have any Pixel or Google branding on them. These smartwatches would carry OEM branding on them. The speculations suggested for this are LG, Motorola and Samsung to be amongst the top contenders to make these smartwatches. The official announcement about this is scheduled to be held in Las Vegas in the United States of America from January 5th to 8th. Even though it is not yet confirmed but it is expected that these smartwatches are going to be in different sizes targeting both the genders. In these two smartwatches one is likely to be slightly more feature-laden compared to the other. A few to list in these smartwatches which are likely to get Android Wear 2.0 are LG Watch R, Moto 360 Gen 2, Asus Zen Watch 3, Tag Heuer Connected, LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, Fossil Q Marshal, LG Watch Urbane, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch, Nixon Mission.
