German woman assaulted by cab driver in Hyderabad

A 25-year-old German woman was sexually assaulted in Hyderabad. She had visited the city to meet a friend. The incident took place when she was on her way to the airport. The cab driver took advantage of the situation and assaulted her in a deserted area.

The woman had been staying in Hyderabad for about a week.She booked a cab to go to the airport on Monday night. She was traveling with her friend and a few others before getting into the cab alone.

The cab driver first dropped off the other passengers. Then he took a different route,instead of driving directly to the airport.Near Mamidipalli, he stopped the vehicle in a secluded area and assaulted the woman. After committing the crime, he fled the spot and left her alone.

The woman immediately approached the Pahadi Shareef police station and filed a complaint. The police registered a case under Section 64 of the Indian Penal Code (BNS).

Initial rumors claimed that multiple people were involved, but the police confirmed that only the cab driver committed the crime. A medical examination was conducted and a team of female officers was assigned to assist the victim.

The authorities have formed special teams to track down the accused. They are using CCTV footage and mobile tracking to find his whereabouts.
