Keerthy Suresh starrer Mahanati is having a dream run at the box-office, not just at the domestic box-office but at the overseas market too. The film which released in Tamil as ‘Nadigaiyar Thilagam’ is being raved by critics and audience as well. Though from all sections praises are being poured in, there comes a Gemini Ganesan’s daughter Dr Kamala Selvaraj, who is miffed with the makers of the film team, for portraying her father in a poor light.
She said, “The film leaves you wondering where the facts end and the fiction begins. It has defamed our father. What has been shown on screen is a one-sided version that glorifies Savitri, and bluntly ignores many other aspects of her life.” She went on to say that, Savitri alcoholic problem wasn’t influenced by her father as portrayed.
Well, Nag Ashwin, film director, and producers are yet to reply to Kamala Selvaraj’s remarks.
