Released last year, Ghani struggled to capture even a minimal audience, leading to substantial financial losses for its investors. This occurrence is noteworthy because the film was produced by Bobby, son of Allu Arvind, and other producers, with direction from newcomer Kiran Korapati.
While promoting his new film “Gandeevadhari Arjuna,” Varun openly shared that he recognized the shortcomings of “Ghani.”He explained, “‘Ghani’ was not my first setback. I’ve faced challenges before. Failures often teach deeper lessons than successes. After analyzing my previous setbacks, I identified the issues and addressed them.
This process paved the way for successful films like ‘Fida’ and ‘Tholiprema.’ Reflecting on my own experiences helps us understand our missteps. ‘Ghani’ was a sports drama, and we attempted to incorporate too much into it, which was a key distinction.”Varun Tej also revealed that his initial impression upon seeing the first version of “Ghani” wasn’t optimistic.
Despite holding onto a glimmer of hope for a potential turnaround, the movie couldn’t salvage itself. This experience significantly influenced his approach and commitment, making him more cautious in his future endeavors.
