Game Changer Update: Director Shankar is known nationwide for his blockbuster films like Bharateeyudu, Jeans, Gentleman, Aparichitudu and Shivaji. However, his career has seen a downturn since his film “I” with Vikram leading to a series of flops. Despite this, Shankar aimed for a comeback with the highly anticipated sequel, Bharateeyudu 2. His fans were hopeful that this film would revive his success.
While working on Bharateeyudu 2, Shankar was also shooting Ram Charan’s film “Game Changer.” Known for taking up to three years to complete a film, Shankar juggled both projects simultaneously.
However, the initial reviews of Bharateeyudu 2 released today, have left Ram Charan’s fans in a state of confusion and concern. In today’s film industry directors like Rajamouli, Nag Ashwin, Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Prasanth Neel are creating pan-India hits with innovative concepts. Meanwhile, Shankar seems to be clinging to his old formula centered around corruption which may no longer resonate with the current audience.

Indian 2 has been criticized for following the same storyline as Shankar’s previous film Aparichitudu making it seem outdated. The mixed responses from the audience indicate that Shankar’s style might not be appealing anymore.
Looking at the promotional content for Game Changer, it appears to follow a similar theme of corruption and revenge. The posters and glimpses suggest a flashback-heavy narrative reminiscent of Shankar’s older films like Gentleman. This has led to doubts among Ram Charan’s fans about the film’s potential success.
Despite Kamal Haasan’s strong performance in “Bharateeyudu 2,” the film’s old-fashioned approach didn’t connect well with modern viewers. If “Game Changer” relies solely on Ram Charan’s performance, it might face a similar fate. Ram Charan has dedicated three years to this project, and his fans are anxiously awaiting its release later this year to see if it can defy expectations and succeed.
