Amazon Prime Video recently announced its upcoming lineup, exciting fans with a diverse array of content across languages. This follows Netflix India’s recent programming revelation for 2024. Prime Video’s slate includes 40 original series and movies, along with 29 films set for streaming after theatrical release, covering Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
Among the original series are titles like Excel Entertainment’s Andhera, starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Citadel: Honey Bunny, an Indian take on the American espionage thriller. There’s also Daring Partners produced by Karan Johar, Matka King featuring Vijay Varma, and The Revolutionaries, based on a book of the same name.
For post-theatrical digital releases, Prime Video offers Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh and a range of Telugu films including Om Bheem Bush, Family Star, and Hari Hara Veera Mallu. From Tamil, there’s Kanguva, and from Kannada, Kantara: Chapter 1.
The Hindi lineup is packed with titles like Don 3, Yodha, Stree 2, Ashwatthama, Women of My Billion, and Sanki. There’s also Baaghi 4, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Ikkis, Housefull 5, Chandu Champion, Ground Zero, Bad Newz, Yudra, Agni, and Singham 3.
Prime Video’s original movie list includes Watan Mere Watan, Chhorii 2, Subedaar, Supermen Of Malegoan, Be Happy, The Mehta Boys, Uppu KappuRambu, and Cheekatilo.
In addition to these, Prime Video also offers a Telugu talk show hosted by Rana Daggubati, titled ‘The Rana Connection.’ Apart from Prime Video, Amazon operates miniTV, a free video entertainment service in India, and the Prime Video Store for renting movies. Additionally, Prime Video Channels provide access to subscription-driven video-on-demand platforms.
