Game Changer faces more damage in Kollywood

Lyca Productions is one of the leading production houses in Tamil cinema. They faced financial trouble due to their disagreements with director Shankar. The production of Indian 2 was delayed for several years. The film finally released last year but failed at the box office.

After the release, Kamal Haasan and Shankar planned to make Indian 3. Lyca Productions responded positively to this idea. However, a song and some patchwork for Indian 3 are still incomplete. The poor performance of Indian 2 has made it difficult to find buyers for Indian 3. Lyca also needs to repay the losses incurred by Indian 2 to distributors and exhibitors.

Shankar’s work on Game Changer was delayed because of Indian 2. Ram Charan and Dil Raju requested Shankar to finish Indian 2 first. This decision kept Game Changer on hold for a long time. The delay caused financial strain on Dil Raju’s production house.

If Game Changer becomes a super hit, it will create interest in Indian 3. The makers can use this buzz to market the film successfully. Shankar has already informed that Indian 3 will only begin after the release of Game Changer.

However, Lyca Productions is not supporting Game Changer. Instead, they are trying to stop its release in Tamil Nadu. This would pose some damage to Game Changer theatres count as well. However Lyca should reconsider their approach during these challenging times.
