The Film and Television Promotion Council of India (FTPC) comes forward to facilitate aspiring actors, who want to make a career in the film industry.
FTPC president Chaitanya Janga recently concluded the tour of the Indo-Sri Lanka Cinema Exchange Summit 2023 to foster film and tourism opportunities.
“There was a time when only local artistes were employed in films. Although there are two different industries Telugu and Tamil, artistes would switch doing roles in both languages. Later, when the Telugu industry shifted its base to Hyderabad, the scenario was different. Now there are no such barriers. The boundaries of regionalism have been blurred. Senior star Manisha Koirala who acted in Telugu movies was from Nepal. Recently, I happened to meet Ayushmann Khurrana. He said he watched Telugu films and likes Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan and Jr NTR. He expressed his interest to work in Telugu cinema. So FTPC acts as a bridge between artistes and the film technicians and producers in the field,” said Chaitanya Janga.
