Fans rage at Harish Shankar’s routine Mr. Bachchan – threats flood social media

Mr Bachchan

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s latest movie Mr. Bachchan, directed by Harish Shankar, has sparked outrage among his fans. With Bollywood actress Bhagyashree Borse as the female lead and Jagapathi Babu playing the antagonist, the movie hit theaters on August 15, 2024. Produced by TG Vishwaprasad under the People Media Factory banner, the film is a remake of Ajay Devgan’s Raid.

Expectations were sky-high, given the past success of the Harish Shankar-Ravi Teja collaboration. Fans anticipated a film full of entertainment and style unique to Shankar’s direction. However, the response from fans has been far from positive. They feel the movie turned out to be a routine mass commercial entertainer packed with four songs and four action sequences, lacking solid content.

Fans are particularly disappointed because they expected Harish Shankar’s usual flair in presenting a remake with fresh elements. Instead, the film seems to have focused more on flashy songs rather than the core plot. Social media is buzzing with criticism that the movie was crafted just to fit in songs, sidelining the gripping theme of the original Raid.

The backlash has escalated to the point where Ravi Teja fans are expressing their frustration humorously, stating they would confront Harish Shankar if they spot him at RTC Cross Road. A video capturing this sentiment has gone viral, adding to the controversy.

Despite the negative reactions, Mr. Bachchan may still attract some viewers drawn to its mass elements. Yet, it remains clear that the film has failed to meet the high expectations of fans who were hoping for something more substantial from this duo.
