In 2019, Sonakshi had two successful films, a multi-starrer Mission Mangal and Salman Khan’s Dabangg 3 and two duds, Kalank and Khandaani Shafakhana. Sonakshi will now be seen in Ajay Devgn’s Bhuj: The Pride of India, which is based on an incident from the 1972 Indo-Pak War, where three hundred local women helped rebuild a destroyed airstrip in Bhuj, Gujarat. Also, she is all set to make her web debut. Speaking about the year that went by, she told a news agency, “It is a great end to the year. I am very fortunate that I got to be part of four different kinds of films.
For me, as an actor it was a fulfilling and satisfying thing. I am ending the year with a nice bang (’Dabangg 3’ success). I am very happy.” About Fallen, “It’s a crime thriller surrounding a bunch of cops from interior Rajasthan”, she says. The shooting of this Reema Kagti-helmed web series was in progress in Rajasthan when the lockdown was imposed in March. Seven months later, the filmmaker has called on her unit to start the proceedings from the first week of December. The up and coming show is a dark thriller and it is titled Fallen. A source has revealed that the show will be the same genre as American psychological thriller Dexter. Sonakshi will play the lead character in it.
