Fahadh Faasil production house:

The Kerala Human Rights Commission is seeking an explanation from actor Fahadh Faasil regarding the shooting of his new film Painkili, which he is producing. Reports indicate that filming took place without proper permission at Angamaly Taluk Hospital, particularly in the emergency department, causing disturbance to patients.

The Commission has demanded responses from the authorities responsible for permitting the shoot within a week. Additionally, the District Medical Officer of Ernakulam and the Superintendent of Angamaly Hospital have been called upon to explain the situation.

During the shooting, the emergency room lights were reportedly dimmed, and approximately 50 individuals, including actors, were present, disrupting patient care. Patients seeking urgent medical attention faced difficulties, and hospital staff allegedly instructed them to remain quiet during filming. Kerala’s Health Minister Veena George has intervened, seeking explanations from the Health Department Director.

In response, the Producers Association of Malayalam Cinema asserts that they had obtained all necessary permissions for filming at Angamaly Taluk Hospital. They claim to have paid Rs 10,000 per day for the shoot and deny causing disruptions to patient care.
