Analysis:
It is tough to keep the audiences engaging with the reality shows as the content is not everyone’s cup of tea. The creators should also be strict about what to keep and what to chop off. Most of the time, the audiences should also be ready to watch the content featuring celebrities. When it comes to Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, ever since the trailer came up, there is no positive buzz around the project. People are interested to know what’s going on in the lives of star wives, but this one about Neelam Kothari, Maheep Kapoor, Bhavna Pandey, and Seema Khan is neither interesting nor engaging.
Our society already developed an opinion about the lives of celebrities. The show tries to dig deep into the same aspect but comes out offering nothing. Instead of exploring the emotional angle in these celebrities’ lives, the show creators focus more on the glamour part of it. Though the show is aimed at what is projected, it is of nothing interesting for most of those who binge-watch it. The four women that the show talks about enjoy a great bonding among themselves, and it was established properly.
In some scenes, things look very artificial and also far from reality. At times, the women boast too much about themselves, and then they start making fun. On top of that, the absurd cameo of Karan Johar irks us. The best part of the series is the production values. Netflix seems to have spent a lot in giving the show a stylish touch.
The technical aspects of the series are amazing. The cinematography, editing, and background score are good. The series is not less than any Bollywood series on Netflix. The best part of the series is Shah Rukh Khan & Gauri Khan’s entry in one of the episodes. Apart from that, the series is not really fabulous like how the title suggests!
