Karuna Kumar, director of Palasa 1978 hit it out of the park. The film makers in the industry took notice of the debutant and immediately called him for discussions. They all enquired if he had any interesting stories for their hero’s. Allu Aravind was one of them who took a liking to his work and was the first to give him a cheque to direct a film for Geeta Arts.
Karuna Kumar had sought a green signal from Sudheer Babu for a story he narrated and either Geeta Arts or Sitara Entertainments will produce it. Karuna Kumar tells Klapboardpost, “As of now I will be directing a story for AhA. It is an anthology and it will take off very soon. I had a discussion with Geeta Arts on Zoom and they liked all my four stories and without much deliberation I was asked to direct it.”
The director says he has a bunch of stories with them, at least eight and I am willing to narrate it to prospective and potential production houses. Well, if there is any man who has made much use of the lockdown, we must say it is Karuna Kumar.
