Producers are ready to make films, but there aren’t many heroes who can notch up a hit. There are directors and heroes. But, the producers will go only to those heroes and directors whose track record is good. One failure, one is down in the dumps and no one even wants to touch them even with a pair of tongs.
Take the case of Raj Tarun. No one is approaching him. Nithiin tasted flops and though he now has two projects, both are in limbo. Nikhil’s Mudra is in the making for quite some time. As for Allari Naresh, few flops later, he has just one project and that project will have him only as a sidekick of hero Mahesh Babu. Manchu heroes are as good as retired and even talented Aadi Pinisetti has no projects on hand.
Same with directors like VV Vinayak, Srikanth Addala and Srinu Vaitla. The list is endless. Everyone is flocking to Nani, Sharwanand and Vijay Deverakonda because they are the rising stars. If the same trend continues, many heroes and directors, whose chips are down, might as well be waiting on the bench this year.
