In times of trouble, true friends stand by each other’s side, and it seems like Shilpa Shetty and Salman Khan are exemplifying this bond. Recent events have thrown both actors into personal crises, yet they find solace and support in each other’s company. A recent paparazzo video captured Shilpa Shetty and her mother, Sunanda Shetty, arriving at Salman Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments, in Bandra, Mumbai. While the purpose of their meeting remains undisclosed, it’s evident that the two longtime co-stars are leaning on each other during trying times.
Shilpa and Salman’s on-screen collaboration spans several films, including “Auzaar” (1997), “Garv: Pride and Honour” (2004), “Phir Milenge” (2004), and “Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar” (2006). Their professional partnership seems to have fostered a deep friendship that transcends the silver screen.
However, both stars are currently grappling with individual challenges. Shilpa Shetty and her husband, Raj Kundra, are embroiled in a money-laundering case linked to an alleged cryptocurrency Ponzi scheme. The Enforcement Directorate has taken action by attaching properties, including a bungalow, a flat, and equity shares valued at approximately ₹98 crore. Despite the legal turmoil, the couple’s lawyer maintains their innocence and assures cooperation with the authorities.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan faced a security scare when unidentified individuals fired shots outside Galaxy Apartments. Prompt action by the police led to the arrest of two suspects, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, who were subsequently remanded to the custody of the Mumbai Crime Branch. Additionally, a case was filed against Anmol Bishnoi for making threatening remarks on Facebook regarding the incident. Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, found himself entangled in the aftermath of the shooting.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) took action against properties worth Rs 97.79 crore belonging to Raj Kundra, the husband of Shilpa Shetty, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) 2002. Among these properties is a flat in Juhu, registered under Shetty’s name, and shares, linked to a Bitcoin scam worth nearly Rs 7,000 crore.
The ED also seized a bungalow in Pune and equity shares owned by Raj Kundra. This action comes after multiple FIRs filed by the Maharashtra Police and Delhi Police against Variable Tech Private Limited and other individuals, including late Amit Bhardwaj, Ajay Bhardwaj, Vivek Bhardwaj, Simpy Bhardwaj, and Mahender Bhardwaj.
These individuals are accused of accumulating Rs 6,600 crore worth of Bitcoin in 2017, promising investors 10% monthly returns. The Bitcoin was supposed to be used for mining, with investors expecting significant returns in cryptocurrency. However, the promoters allegedly deceived investors and hid the obtained Bitcoin in obscure online wallets.
According to the ED, Kundra received 285 Bitcoin from Amit Bhardwaj to establish a mining farm in Ukraine, valued at Rs 150 crore. These funds were allegedly obtained through illegal means from unsuspecting investors. However, the deal didn’t materialize, and Kundra is said to still possess the Bitcoin. Simpy Bhardwaj, Nitin Gaur, and Nikhil Mahajan were arrested on various dates in 2023 and are currently in judicial custody. However, the main accused, Ajay Bhardwaj and Mahendra Bhardwaj, are still at large.
