Many people remember the famous Rasna ad from the 90s especially those who grew up watching Doordarshan. The ad featured a cute little girl enjoying Rasna, and her expressions won everyone’s hearts. But did you know that this girl later became a heroine in Telugu cinema? She even acted in a Rajamouli film!

The little girl from the Rasna ad is none other than actress Ankita. If her name doesn’t sound familiar, you might remember her as the heroine of Simhadri, the blockbuster film directed by S.S. Rajamouli. In the movie, she starred alongside Jr. NTR and played an important role.

Ankita started her career as a child artist and gained recognition as the “Rasna Baby.” After growing up, she entered the film industry as a lead actress. Her debut as a heroine was in the film Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo. She went on to act in several films, including Simhadri, Vijayendra Varma, Seetaramudu, Anasuya, and Vinayakudu.

In Simhadri, she shared the screen with actress Bhumika Chawla. While Bhumika’s role was more reserved, Ankita’s character had a glamorous appeal. Her presence in the film added to its entertainment value, and she became popular among Telugu audiences.
