Dhanush played a key role in Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan’s love story
Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan are one of the most admired couples in the South Indian film industry. Their love story began in 2015 when Nayanthara signed on to work in the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, directed by Vignesh. During the production, the two became close, sparking rumors about their relationship. Nayanthara, who had experienced two failed relationships before, found a connection with Vignesh that would change her life.
Co-star Mansoor Ali Khan once revealed that the couple would spend hours talking on set, though they kept their relationship private at first. It wasn’t until 2017, at an award show, that they made their first public appearance as a couple. According to Vignesh, Dhanush convinced Nayanthara to join the project, which also led to the involvement of actor Vijay Sethupathi. In March 2021, Vignesh shared a picture of Nayanthara flaunting an engagement ring. Later, in an interview, Nayanthara confirmed their engagement, stating that it was a private affair attended only by close family members. The couple tied the knot on June 9, 2022, in an intimate ceremony in Mahabalipuram.
In October 2022, they announced the birth of their twin boys, Uyir and Ulagam, through surrogacy. Today, Nayanthara and Vignesh are living a happy family life, often sharing their moments of joy with fans through social media. Their love story continues to inspire many across the industry.
