DYK Allu Arjun and Kamal Haasan shared screen space in THIS blockbuster film?
Allu Arjun, now one of India’s biggest film stars, actually began his career as a child actor. While his debut film Gangotri in the 2000s brought him major recognition, his first steps in the industry were much earlier. In fact, he worked alongside the legendary actor Kamal Haasan as a child artist.
In 1986, Allu Arjun played a small role in the acclaimed film Swathi Muthyam. Directed by K. Vishwanath, the film starred Kamal Haasan in the lead. Allu Arjun played the role of Kamal Haasan’s grandson. Though his role went mostly unnoticed at the time, it’s now remembered fondly by fans, especially after Allu Arjun’s rise to fame. Swathi Muthyam was a significant film in Indian cinema, winning the National Film Award and gaining widespread critical acclaim.
However, this was not Allu Arjun’s first on-screen appearance. A year before Swathi Muthyam, he had a small part in Vijetha (1985), a movie starring his uncle Chiranjeevi. Vijetha was produced by his father, Allu Aravind, which marked the beginning of Allu Arjun’s association with cinema at a very young age.
Now, Allu Arjun is known for his powerful performances in films like Arya, Race Gurram, and the blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise.
