Producers are usually apprehensive to work with director Hanu Raghavapudi because he exceeds the budget given to the project. Despite the film being good, the project turns out to be a cost failure. Producer Swapna Dutt had since long wanted to work with Hanu Raghavapudi and she reportedly stressed that he will have to strictly make the movie within the budget.
Now the project’s first look poster has been unveiled. Since Nani had already worked in Yevade Subramanyam and Devadas associated with Vyjayanthi Movies, he was offered this third project too. He starred in Hanu Raghavapudi’s Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gaadha. This combination would have rocked but Nani expressed his inability to do this story and Dulquer Salman has been roped in instead. Dulquer played Gemini Ganesan in Vyjayanthi Movies’ Mahanati. The period drama and love story will see Dulquer Salmaan in an Army officer’s role as Lieutenant Ram.
