Tollywood had some big moments at the box office over the last two months with the continuous successes of films like Agent Sai Sreenivasa Athreya, Brochevarevarura, Oh Baby and iSmart Shankar. But again, the collections dipped in August as no film has fared well at ticket counters.
Coming to the overseas business, this weekend has started on a very dull note. King Nagarjuna’s Manmadhudu 2 has collected just $80k from the premieres and earned a total of $129,664 on the first day. Considering its negative talk, it might perform much lower in the coming days.
Telugu films performing dull in the US
On the other side, Sampoornesh Babu’s Kobbari Matta collected only $363 and Anasuya’s Kathanam managed to earn about $116. There were no expectations on these films and they are sticking to the same. On the whole, it is proved that this week is going to be dull in the overseas and we have to see if the Independence Day releases can manage to make some bucks or not.
