A video of woman doctor has gone viral on social media. Identified as Dr Vijaya Lakshmi, in an angry tone she questioned the TRS government for failing to tackle the COVID-19 and not upping tests. She speaks in the backdrop of the attack on doctors at the state-run Gandhi Hospital and rising coronavirus cases in the states, especially in the GHMC.
The doctor in a fierce tone asks the government:
- Why is government not sending COVID-19 cases to private hospitals.
- Gandhi Hospital is overburdened with COVID-19 patients
- When private hospitals are sanctioned for state scheme-Arogyasree among others, then why doesn’t the govt allots the treatment for Covid patients
- Doctors working at Gandhi Hospital are over strained and are doing duties beyond their call.
- Journalist Manoj Kumar of TV5 who succumbed to the virus spoke about the dark reality , yet why govt doesn’t provide aid to the Gandhi Hospital doctors
- Govt should increase testing and even private hospitals should take charge
The doctor concluded saying that Gandhi Hospital which is considered as prestigious will become a thing of past. If the government fails to do required things, coming generations will loath to get admission in Gandhi Hospital.
