Trisha Krishnan has recently made waves with her role in the OTT series Brinda. Known for her impressive performances in numerous films, Trisha’s entry into the OTT space was not initially on her agenda. She was hesitant about working on digital platforms, but the compelling script of Brinda changed her mind.
Filmmaker Surya Manoj Vangala, who directed Brinda, played a key role in bringing Trisha on board. According to Vangala, he first presented Trisha with a 100-page document, which was a detailed script for the series. As Trisha is an avid reader, Vangala took advantage of her love for books by sending her the script in novel format. During a flight, Trisha read through the document and, despite her previous reluctance towards OTT projects was drawn to the script’s potential and was impressed a lot with the story and message.
Vangala recalls his initial skepticism about Trisha accepting the role. “I wasn’t sure if she would agree,” he mentioned. However, after thoroughly reviewing the script, Trisha surprisingly expressed her interest in the project, saying, “I’m doing the project.” This enthusiastic response marked a significant shift in her stance towards OTT platforms.
Brinda is a thriller series available on SonyLIV, where Trisha plays the role of a police officer. Her performance has been well-received, showcasing her versatility and talent in a new medium. This role has added a new dimension to her acting career, proving that she can excel beyond traditional cinema.
