With big films releasing during the first half of November, this Diwali season was expected to set the cash registers ringing. But the result was quite opposite. None of these films entertained the audience and are soon to end up as duds.
Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Savyasachi’ which was released on 2nd, failed to get positive talk and became a disaster. The film’s concept got diluted in the unnecessary commercial elements. Dubbing film, ‘Sarkar’ starring Vijay and directed by Murugadoss to failed to reach the expectations. The film is no where close to their previous outings ‘Thupaki’ and ‘Kaththi’. Murugadoss disappointed the audience once again post ‘Spyder’. Though the film is running with packed houses in Tamil Nadu, it may end up as a flop here. Ravi Babu’s ambitious project ‘Adhugo’ is far from being good and there is no one to watch this film.
Recently released big-ticket Bollywood film ‘Thugs of Hindusthan’ starring stars like Aamir, Amitabh and Katrina too got negative talk. The film is being lashed out for its lacklustre story and narration. Though the film secured record collections on its first day, it is sure to become a disaster as per experts.
Let us hope ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and ‘Taxiwala’ become first hits of November.
