The much talked about NTR biopic first part NTR Kathanayakudu was released amid high expectations. The film however opened to poor box office reports and was panned by critics and audience alike. And looks like director Teja’s decision of walking away from the project has paid off.
It’s known that before Krish came on board, director Teja was the first choice by Balakrishna to weild the megaphone. But, Teja and Balayya had a difference of opinions. Balakrishna was adamant to play the younger version of late NTR, which was not approved by Teja. However, as Balayya was hellbent of playing it and not obliging made Teja to leave the project. And now after the films release, what Teja had opinionated is echoing with the audience too, who didn’t like the younger version of NTR played by Balakrishna. The box-office ticket window is also not churning out moolah. So, going by the reports, Teja was the correct decision maker.
