Prabhas recently shared an interesting story about the film’s release day in 2015. This story involves a broken promise to director SS Rajamouli, shedding light on the pressures faced during such high-stakes moments.
When Baahubali was nearing its release, Prabhas committed Rajamouli. He promised to be there with the director regardless of how the film performed. This promise reflected the strong bond between them and the hard work they had put into the movie.
However, the day before Baahubali’s release, Prabhas was overwhelmed with anxiety. He was so nervous about the film’s debut that he decided to go to New Delhi instead of joining Rajamouli. Prabhas called Rajamouli and said, “I can’t come. I’m too nervous. You go, you feel bad or good, but I’m staying here in Delhi. I’m not going anywhere.”
This moment was shared during an appearance on the show Koffee With Karan in 2018, where Prabhas and Rana Daggubati discussed the film’s journey. Rana humorously noted how, contrary to their plan to be together, they ended up in different cities on the big day.
On the professional front, Prabhas was recently seen in the sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film features a stellar cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Prabhas will reprise his role in the sequel to this film. Additionally, he is set to star in Raja Saab, a Telugu romantic-comedy horror film scheduled for release on April 10, 2025. He will also work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga on the highly anticipated film Spirit and has a period drama with Hanu Raghavapudi.
