Did Ram Charan take a pay cut for Game Changer ?
Ram Charan’s upcoming film, Game Changer, will release on January 10, 2025, during Sankranti. According to reports, both Ram Charan and director Shankar decided to accept lower payments for the film because of its delays.
The RRR actor, Ram Charan, reportedly accepted a payment of Rs 65 crores for the movie. This is less than what he was initially paid, especially after the success of RRR. The actor agreed to the reduced amount because the film faced several delays and changes in schedule.
Director Shankar is said to have reduced his payment too. He reportedly took Rs 35 crores for his work on the movie. However, these figures are based on rumors. There has been no official confirmation from the actor or the director.

The official trailer for Game Changer was released on January 2, 2025. The trailer launch event took place in Hyderabad, with director SS Rajamouli attending as the special guest. The trailer shows Ram Charan playing an IAS officer who is determined to fight corruption in the political system. He plays dual roles as both a father and a son.
In the film, Ram Charan’s character is paired with Kiara Advani, who plays his love interest. The movie also features actors like SJ Suryah, Anjali, Samuthirakani, Jayaram, Sunil and Srikanth in important roles.
Game Changer is directed by Karthik Subbaraj, and the music is composed by Thaman. Four singles from the movie are already available for streaming.
Ram Charan will also be seen in a movie tentatively called RC16. It is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and is set to be a sports drama based in a village. Janhvi Kapoor plays the lead female role, and Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar will also be part of the film. After this, Ram Charan will collaborate again with director Sukumar for a new project, following their successful film Rangasthalam from 2018.
