Pragya Nagra, originally from a Punjabi family in Haryana, has carved a niche in South Indian cinema. In 2022, she debuted in the Tamil movie Varalaru Mukkiyam, where she played the role of a Malayalee girl opposite Jiiva. Despite the film’s mixed reviews, she went on to act in Malayalam and Telugu films.
