Ram’s latest movie, Skanda, directed by Boyapati, recently hit theaters, and people have had mixed feelings about it. Some liked the action, while others noticed that it talked about politics.
Now, here’s the interesting part: it is a known fact that Boyapati, the director, is a big fan of the TDP political party. He made that pretty clear in the movie Skanda as well through some of the things the characters say. But what you might not know is that there were even more political things said in the original script that didn’t make it into the final movie.
As the Skanda release date got closer, there was a lot of political drama in Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu, TDP leader, got arrested, and things got really intense. So, it is heard that the producer of the Skanda movie Srinivasaa Chitturi got worried that the political stuff in the movie might cause problems and hence asked Boyapati to take out some of those political lines.
With no way left, Boyapati is said to have agreed to cut a bunch of the political stuff from Skanda. But it makes all wonder how the movie would’ve been if all those original political lines were still in there.
