Dhanush’s father reaction:
Dhanush and Nayanthara’s public feud has taken a new turn with a response from Dhanush’s father and filmmaker Kasthuri Raja. The controversy began when Dhanush filed a copyright infringement case against Nayanthara’s Netflix documentary alleging unauthorized use of a three-second clip from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.
Kasthuri Raja denied Nayanthara’s claim that she repeatedly contacted Dhanush for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for using the footage. He also disputed her statements about their personal connections during the making of the film. Addressing the issue, Raja said, “Work is our priority. We have no time for those who chase us or talk behind our backs. Like my son I focus only on my work.”

Dhanush’s legal team also released a statement clarifying that he as the producer of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan owns the copyright. They warned Nayanthara and her team to remove the contested footage within 24 hours or face a legal claim of ₹10 crores.
In her open letter Nayanthara criticized Dhanush’s actions alleging hypocrisy in his public persona versus private behavior. She stated, “I wish you were half the person you portray on stage at audio launches. You don’t practice what you preach.”
The Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale released on November 18, 2024 explores the actress’s life and career. However copyright dispute has overshadowed the film’s debut drawing attention from fans and the media.
